Christoph Vogel is the Vice President & General Manager of the Solar team in the Energy Solutions area for the Building Efficiency business of Johnson Controls.  An expert in solar and photovoltaic issues with more than 15 years of experience, Christoph is responsible for leading a team in the development of solar energy projects, especially in the education, municipal and federal government markets.

Christoph has been with Johnson Controls since 2011 and is leading a major expansion of the solar energy business for the company. The team has recently won multiple federal as well as private solar projects in North America.

Prior to joining Johnson Controls, Christoph worked at Siemens and The Boston Consulting Group.

Christoph was a David Rockefeller fellow for the Partnership of New York City and has presented at multiple conferences, including Connectivity Week and the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). He has authored numerous articles.

Christoph has a Master’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany.   With strong global experience, he is fluent in German and English, as well as proficient in French and Spanish.
