As principal of Alberti Group, Ujjval K. Vyas possesses a unique combination of experience and strategic vision, connecting people and developing new ideas with the power to change clients’ businesses.
Prior to founding Alberti Group, Dr. Vyas was an associate attorney at Foran Glennon Palandech & Ponzi, P.C. in Chicago where he represented contractors, design professionals, and others in the construction process, specializing in issues related to sustainable design and building.
Before becoming an attorney, Dr. Vyas taught architectural history, theory, design and ethics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels in the United States and Canada. He also served as director for the Institute for Architecture and the Humanities in Chicago.
Managing Member Quadra Intelligence Dr. Vyas has been involved in cutting-edge issues related to the built environment for almost 30 years. His experience spans the range from architectural educator in history, theory and design, to practicing construction attorney specializing in sustainability risk management, to sustainability policy consultant. More recently he has also become the Managing Member of Quadra Intelligence, a company specializing in finding, developing, and deploying advanced green technologies in the marketplace. He holds a doctorate from the Committee on the History of Culture at the University of Chicago and a second doctorate of law from the Chicago-Kent College of Law. In addition to his business, legal and consulting ventures, he continues to teach occasionally at the graduate level on topics related to emerging technologies and the law as well as sustainability and real estate. His business interests encompass next generation LED lighting; UVc applications for biocidal, bactericidal, and other purification processes; new engine technologies for delivering heating and cooling with grid-wide implications; and containerized water pumping and purification applications for worldwide implementation.
